I know, I know. I have sadly neglected my blog. But, here’s the thing– I don’t have a nanny. I don’t have a personal chef to prepare my meals (unless, you count fast food chains. Then yes, I’m all taken care of.) I have a baby who is phasing out his naps during the day. So, in the end, something falls, and something gets neglected. That, my lovies, was you. Now, now- don’t get your undies in a wad. I’m gonna do a couple of quick updates, and then we will return to our regularly scheduled programming.
So, when I left you last week, Blake had just had a great checkup from the doctor. Little man is doing so well… We have now slept 12+ nights, without waking up. Can I hear a Hallelujah from the choir?! Of course, he is still sleeping with me, but it’s monumentous in my books. I finally feel like I can rest. Except…
I am having problems sleeping. I put Blake to sleep, and then write or surf the internet for hours upon hours. Or, just stare out the window, or listen to Blake’s even breathing. My friend Kris has recommended taking Melatonin, which hopefully will work. I have always had problems falling asleep, but have resisted ever taking a sleeping pill of any kind. The fact that it’s all natural, and WORKS, appeals to me.
Ailane had Girl Scout camp last weekend, and has another Softball Tournament this weekend. It’s all drama, all the time around here. She has me wanting to beat my head in the wall, because of the constant crying and whining. I keep telling myself, it WILL get better. It will, right?
Jason has been busy on the yard, and the pool. He travels to Philadelphia for business next week, and then he will return home, to work remotely. Always. I’m finally getting used to having him around. But, there are times, that I need him to leeeeaaave the house. My motivation goes out the window, when I see him lounging in bed, on his computer. I’m going to have to figure out a way to do my things around the house, while he is here working from home.
Capone the wonder dog ate my hamburger Sunday night. I’m still ticked off about it. I was craving a hamburger in such a bad way, partly because I have been expecting my period for days now. I was nauseus last week, and Jason had me freaked out that I was possibly pregnant. So, I took a test, which was negative. For the first time ever, I was relieved. I want Blake to have a year to himself, without any pregnancy related symptoms. Anyway, back to Capone- he ate my hamburger. Damn dog. I left the room for a second, and while I was out, he took my hamburger off of my plate, and scarfed it down. He’s been shedding his winter coat, leaving copious amounts of black hair coating every surface. I sucked up an entire canister of fur in the Dyson yesterday; just from our bedroom alone.
What am I forgetting? Oh yeah, the guinea pig. Hamilton. When Ailane left town, I had to take care of that thing. Remind me again, why does a pig live in my house? Oh yes, I am a sucker when it comes to saying no to certain moody little girls.
Oh my gosh! I haven’t done much posting either, but I have NO excuses like you. Life is good. All are healthy and you’ll get to it when you get to it. Glad to hear from you
Busy, busy, busy!
Yay for sleeping babies!!
Thanks God for Dysons, lol.
Hang in there girl you are doing a great job. Everything will be better once you sleep.
my hubby works from home sometimes but he does it in no uncertain terms. it doesnt hurt that he just got out of college and was very serious about his homework. he got a pair of noise cancelling headphones (for work and home if he works here), he tells me he’s working, and I leave him alone. I do drop him a snack and a drink every once in a while — cause hey its rude to eat in front of him, but otherwise, i go about my own business. usually, he’s happy as a clam once he’s done doing what he’s doing. much better than having to work in a boring old cubicle. good luck!
I wish I had a nanny, a maid and a personal chef too! Hope you rest well!
xx
