byam.jpgAfter meeting my grandfather for the first time last month, Jason told me that someone needed to record his life story. I started thinking about what I do know about my grandfather. Sure, we have memories. Stories that are rehashed over time, and the fish grow to epic proportions with every retelling of certain stories. But there are so many things that I don’t know about him, about his life journey. Like memories of his own father, who died when he was only 12 years old. And, it’s not just limited to my grandfather; there are so many people that I cherish, that I want to know more about. Preserve their memories, in a heirloom format.

The Between You and Me Journals are perfect for this purpose. Each hardcover book is intended for a specific person (parents, grandparents, children, spouse, etc.), full of questions that answer what you always wanted to know, or frankly, never even though of asking.   6. Those are all so cool - it’s a tough choice! I think I’d like the Dad one. I feel like there’s so much I don’t know about him - cuz we don’t sit around and talk as much as Mom and I…
    I would have said the Grandma one, but I don’t think my Grandma would actually fill it out…

  7. I love the honey one. I want my daughter to know how special my relationship is with her father. I want her to know that we are parents, husband and wife, and most importantly best friends. Oh I love these. I could fill it out for her for years to come so she could one day have it to remember us by.

  15. Hi Andria. I love you contests. I’d love the Brother one. Actually I think I’ll buy a few even if I don’t win. I have two brothers that have been very ill for a few years and another brother that needs surgery for an abdominal aneurism. I’m close to all of them, but I’d love to know more. Come to think about it I think I’d like all 5 of them to fill one out. Yup, I’m blessed.
